Dr. Muhammad Nasir, MD, MPH, MBA earned a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) from Nishtar Medical University & Nishtar Hospital, Pakistan in 2002. He was awarded a master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) from California State University Fullerton and a Business Administration (MBA) from The Paul & Virginia Engler College of Business, West Texas A&M University, USA. He has received professional certifications in Project Management, Health Information Technology, Lean White Belt, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and Electronic Health Record System (EHRS) Trainer and Joint Commission Accreditation International. He is also a reviewer for a health journal and have several publications on public health issues.
Dr. Nasir is currently working as Chief Executive Officer – Healthcare with State Department of California (CDCR/CCHCS) since January 2016. He started his career with Pakistan Army Medical Corps in 2002 and has served in diverse settings in the United States, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia. He is also on advisory panel of South Coast College, California for the different educational programs. During his career, he has been a participant and leader of various organizations involved in providing medical care through a patient-centric examination processes and procedures. He has given presentations in various international organizations and trained staff for accreditation and occupational safety. His focus on a shared organizational vision and dedication to frequent and open communication have been key factors in regaining the respect and commitment of both internal and external stakeholders.
He recently joined EcoPakistan to provide his professional services to various departments in Pakistan.
